One thing that disrupts our daily routine is the lack of good habits. For many of us, the weeks and days are repetitive. Most families, including ours, find themselves needing to purchase the same items every week. My husband used to call me from the store to ask for a shopping list, urging me to ‘go to the refrigerator and check what’s missing.’ I always wondered how I could tell what was missing if it wasn’t there. That changed when I discovered this great online application, INeedIt, which allows you to freely add items to your needs list. You can also toggle items on or off as needed. Now, with a regularly updated list in front of me, all I have to do is scroll through and adjust according to our current needs.
Another great feature I appreciate in this application is its ability to remember your preferred store for specific items. Once you set the store, the app automatically populates it when you turn a need on. When I’m cooking in the kitchen and notice an ingredient is out of stock, I simply turn it on in my need list. This saves me a lot of time in the store because I don’t have to try to remember what to buy. It also keeps me focused while shopping, since I dont need to browse the store and instead I go directly to the items I have in the list. It saves me both time and money.
Unlike notepaper, having this on my phone is much handier. I used to use Apple Notes, but it is not as organized as the INeedIt application, sorted by name and by store.
Sometimes, I might think of something I need but am unsure how to implement it. For example, let’s say I want a nice sitting area outside my house, but I’m not sure about the location or the setup. Once I jot down my need in the app, it feels like my ideas are being acknowledged. This sense of empathy from the app is comforting. Often, all we need is for our thoughts to be heard. Once acknowledged, the implementation process begins, and everything flows smoothly from there.
What need do you have that needs to be met, and how do you ensure it is fulfilled?
